The Reserved Bank in India has
announced on 22nd Jan, 2015 that an individual can now carry Indian
currency in Rs.500 and Rs. 1000 denomin
ations to Nepal and Bhutan, subject to a limit of Rs. 25000. Earlier, individuals travelling to Nepal and Bhutan were allowed to carry Indian currency without any limit in denomination of only up to Rs. 100.

This is certainly will relax to
mitigate the hardships faced by Nepali migrants. However it is always safe to
use bank instead of carry the cash while returning to Nepal.

रु. १००० र ५०० का नोटहरु अधिकतममा रु. २५००० सम्म भित्राउन सक्ने व्यवस्था बनाएको छ । सन् २००२ मे ५ देखि रु.
५०० र १००० का भारतिय नोटहरु नेपालभित्र भित्राउनु गैरकानुनी मानिन्थ्यो
। यद्दपी रु १०० का भारितय नोटहरु भने भित्राउन सकिन्थ्यो । यो पहलले धेरै नेपालि प्रवासीहरुलाई
राहत पुग्ने देखिन्छ । तर पनि यात्राको समयमा नगद रकम बोकेर यात्रा गर्नभन्दा बैंकको
सुविधा प्रयाग गर्न नै उचित रहनेछ ।
