Research on Migration

There are two researches that I have included in the link for your benefits and further studies. In the first one, the specific purpose of the study was to find out possibilities for how the Diaspora Nepalese churches in Indian cities can reach out to the huge and scattered migrant communities, especially in relation to the problem of illiteracy in adults and children as well. The study also aimed to bring out the concerns of migrants and how churches can prepare themselves for dealing with those concerns. However, I determined to look only at the Nepalese migrants in three Indian metros (Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai) due to the time restriction of my Internship study. This paper will deal with the illiteracy issues among the migrants’ families, especially those concerning women and children.
In the second one, the research was undertaken to identify, analyse and find the solution to some of the significant problems faced by migrants‟ families (in Achham) and also to formulate some strategies for the churches involvement within the community from a missiological perspective.

1. INVESTIGATION OF ILLITERACY AMONG DIASPORA NEPALIS WITH
SPECIAL REFERENCE TO THREE INDIAN METROS (CHENNAI, DELHI
   AND MUMBAI) [120 pages]
2. ISSUES OF MIGRANTS’ FAMILIES IN DHAKARI, ACHHAM AND THEIR
CHALLENGES: A MISSIOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE [84 pages]

(If you want to get hold of a copy of these research, please write to the author on janakbc@gmail.com)
